Admission requirement for the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Hons.) Degree Programme is determined by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in accordance with the government policy on university admissions. The eligibility criterion is based on the UGC requirements and also the results of the aptitude test. Only full time students are admitted to this programme.
The B.Sc. (Hons.) in Information Technology Degree Programme is conducted as a semester-based course unit system. The awarding of the Degree is based on the relevant By-Laws and the performance criteria. The course comprises of 7 Semesters of academic work and a 24 week period of industrial training between the 5th and the 6th Semesters.
Similar to all the other courses offered by the University of Moratuwa, the medium of instruction in lectures, tutorials and laboratory classes in the course of study leading to the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Hons.) Degree Programme is English.
