"We make living by what we get but, we make a life by what we give”, Winston Churchill. Kindness is the best gift that one can give. Revealing the kind and giving nature of Electrical Engineering undergraduates and the Electrical Engineering Society, an extended phase of the annual charity program to the children at the School for the deaf, Ratmalana was held on 9th of March 2017.
Opening the gate for two little souls to listen and hear without difficulties, two hearing aids were donated. Initially two students with hearing difficulties who have the potential to achieve better hearing using hearing aids were selected and customized hearing aids were designed. The two hearing aids were handed over to the students by Dr. D.P. Chandima, President of EESoc and Dr. Rasara Samarasinghe, Senior Treasurer of EESoc. A steel cupboard and some gardening equipment were also donated as requested from the school.
