What is Environmental Engineering?

The integration of principles of science and engineering, concepts, knowledge, and tools to care for and restore our natural environment, provide healthy water, air, and land for human habitation, and for other organisms and solve environmental related problems/catastrophes.

Why is it important for Civil Engineering?

With so much focus on being green and preserving the environment for our future generations; Environmental Engineers are becoming increasingly important. Environmental Engineers

  • Concern with assessing and managing the effects of human and other activity on the natural and built environment
  • Work with government, industry and private groups to design and implement projects to improve the environment and public health
