Dr. Jawad Syed, the Dean & Professor of Suleman Dawood School of Business ,Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan visited University of Moratuwa (UOM) on 10th March 2017 as a part of their international expansion strategy to network with academic institutions and to enroll Sri Lankan students to MBA programs of LUMS under full scholarships funded by Asian Development Bank. LUMS is keen on building partnerships in the areas of research collaborations, faculty collaborations and other forms of partnerships. The visit wascoordinated by Mr. Chaminda Hettiarachchi, Visiting lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering

Prof. Han Baokun, Vice Dean of College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, Prof. Chen Qingguang, Director of Department of Mechanotronics and Prof. Yang Jurru, Director of  Department of Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering, Shangdon University of China visited University of Moratuwa on 25th April 2017 and discussed matters related to staff and student exchange programs, joint research programs and research center concept on mechatronics.

Craig H. Blakely, PhD, MPH, Dean, School of Public Health and Information Sciences at the University of Louisville (UoFL), United States visited UOM on 16th May 2017. The potential programs of UoFL for discussion were suggested as MSc Clinical Investigative Science, MS Biostatistics, MPH Concentration in Environmental / Community Health, PhD and Joint Research Projects.
