MSc in Spatial Planning, Management and Design

The Department of Town and Country Planning of the University of Moratuwa, the premiere academic institute in Sri Lanka offers this new international postgraduate degree programme in collaboration with La Tribe University, Australia.
 
The course offers student exchange and inter-international university credit transfer facility for subject modules. In this programme students are facilitated to complete part of the degree either in Sri Lanka or in Australia.
 
The course consists of major modules in urban management, environment planning and spatial design. The degree is accredited by the respective professional institutions of Australia and Sri Lanka.

1.1 The Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science in Town and Country Planning of the University of Moratuwa and Minimum of one year of relevant experience in the area of planning and urban development after obtaining the degree;
OR
2.2 Any bachelor’s degree of at least four years of duration in architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, transport and logistics management, quantity surveying, facilities  anagement, agriculture, economics, estate management and valuation, geography, law, sociology from a recognised university as may be approved by the Senate.
AND
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the area of planning and urban development after obtaining the degree;
OR
2.3 Bachelor of Built Environment Degree from the University of Moratuwa
and
Minimum of three years of relevant experience in the area of planning and urban development after obtaining the degree;
OR
2.4 Any other degree of at least three years of duration in a relevant fi eld from a recognised university as may be approved by the Senate.
and
Minimum of three years of relevant experience in the area of planning and urban development after obtaining the degree;
OR
2.5 A recognised category of membership of a recognised professional institute, obtained through an academic route,as may be approved by the Senate
and
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the area of planning and urban development after obtaining the membership.
