University of Moratuwa Toastmasters club is open for employees, their spouces and the graduate students of University of Moratuwa.

Club meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 4:30 pm. at the Engineering Faculty Borad Room, University of Moratuwa.

Welcome elcome to the the University of Moratuwa Toastmasters club website! Our club is an institution-base club open for the faculty memebrs, non-academic staff members, and graduate students of University of Moratuwa. We welcome spouces of the employeers of our University as well. Toastmaster is a personal improvement program though public speaking and leadership, in a friendly environment. We help each other to improve. Universityh of Moratuwa Toastmaters Club is affiliated to Toastmasters International based in the USA. We belong to District 82, comprising of India and Sri Lanka, Division A, and Area 3.

Moratuwa is a city apprximately 15 km south of Colombo. University of Moratuwa is ranked as the best university in Sri Lanka. We have been able to attract over 95% of the top-performers in the island-wide advanced-level examination. University has three faculties, Architecture, Engineering, and Information Technology. Gavel Engineering Faculty is the largest. Engineering Faculty has nine departments: Chemical and Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth Resources Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Management of Technology, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Textile and Clothing Technology. We offer bachelors', masters, and doctoral degrees.

President's Distinguished Club Award

Our club received the highest award a club can recive, the President's Distinguished Club Award in 2008-09 when Ms. Vishaka Nanayakkara led the club.

Joining the Club

Our club provides a friendly and positive environment for you to grow by enhancing your public-spieaking and leadership skills. Many lecturers, administrative staff members, and graduate studens have immensely benefited though these club activities.
