The Cricket Carnival for the TRR Rajan Memorial Trophy, organied by the Rotaract Club of Kandy, was held on the 11th of October at the Nittawela Grounds, Kandy.  Two tournaments for both Rotary & Rotaract were held simultaneosly.  More than 20 Rotaract clubs participated in this event. The team from University of Moratuwa led by Kusal consisted of Kavinga, Sellar, Nuwan, Yashanka & Pranavan.  Niroshan (Wiky) was responsible for looking after the scoring duties.

With a victory in the first round against the defending Champions, RC of Colombo Mid Town, Mora won the next round with a win over RC of University of Peradeniya.  The place in the final was sealed with a good win over RC of Colmbo South in the semi finals.  The final was lost to the combined team of RC of Mid City & RC of Millenium City in the last ball of the match.

Therefore Mora was awarded the runner up shield while captain Kusal bagged the best fielder award.  The Cricket carnival truly had a carnival atmosphere and concluded with some good music and fellowship.
