The Society of Materials Engineers Sri Lanka is an organization of Sri Lankan Materials Engineers Established on 20 th December 2003, at the University of Moratuwa, with a vision and a mission Pertaining to the following objectives |

To serve as the central forum for consensus building among Manufactures, Research and development Institutes, Universities, Government Institutes and others involved in the Materials Science and Engineering in Sri Lanka |

To be the unifying force of Sri Lankan Materials Engineers and Scientists and to ensure the well being of members of this society. |

To spearhead the efforts to create a center of excellence for Sri Lankan materials Research and Testing. |
