Curriculum and Syllabus for B.Sc. Engineering Degree in

Materials Science and  Engineering

1. Objective: To create an opportunity to acquire a specialized knowledge on engineering materials with an insight to economical and ecological utilization of them in the field of engineering and to broaden the knowledge in design, management and information technology.

2. Methodology:

 

 

Level 1 : Offers the fundamentals of different subjects in engineering.

Level 2 : Concentrates on basics of materials engineering and allied fields.

Level 3 : Enhances the knowledge on process technology and applications  

Of engineering materials. 

Level 4 : Gives in-depth knowledge on the selected domains of materials 

Engineering and management with communication skills

3.Duration: 4 Calendar years including 6 months of continuous industrial

Training

 Credit: is equivalent to one hour of lecture per week per semester of three hours of Practical work/tutorials per week per semester.

Semester: is generally of twenty weeks duration, consisting of fourteen weeks of teaching and six weeks for examinations and holidays.
