Interior Design Programs

Department of Architecture is planning to offer the following programs in Interior Design in the near future.

M.Sc. in Interior Design & Postgraduate Diploma in Interior Design

This is a two year part time postgraduate programme. The students take 40 credit theory modules during the first year.

The main modules cover subject areas such as;
• Interior Design Profession
• History of Interior Design
• Theory of Interior Design
• Interior Lighting Fundamentals & Principles
• Principles of Acoustical Design
• Space Planning & Furniture
• Research Methodology

The students are eligible to receive PG Diploma at the end of the first year . During the second year the students have to write a Dissertation or do a Comprehensive Design Project to obtain the M.Sc. in Interior Design.

Eligibility and Application Procedure

Generally a Bachelors degree in Architecture, Design or Associate Membership of a relevant professional institute or similar qualifications are required to enter into this programme of study.
